Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 11, 2016, by Matthew Fedroff.
Fedroff, age 36 of Hamburg, pled guilty to Unauthorized Practice of Medicine, a third degree crime, and Attempt to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for November 18, 2016.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on May 24, 2016, in Franklin, he posed as a doctor and phoned in a fraudulent prescription for Xanax to the Shop Rite Pharmacy.
The case was investigated by Detective Robert Vander Ploeg of the Franklin Borough Police Department.
