Press Release - Plea of Jason Perlet

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 11, 2016, by Jason Perlet.

     Perlet, age 56 of Denville, pled guilty to Driving While License is Suspended for Second or Subsequent Driving While Intoxicated violation, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 2, 2016.

     On February 9, 2016, he was stopped for speeding.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while his driver license was suspended for a prior conviction of Driving While Intoxicated.

     The case was investigated by Detective Robert Tierney of the Byram Township Police Department. 

     Perlet was represented by Joseph Scura, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
