Press Release - Sentencing of Christopher Faulkner

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Christopher Faulkner, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 7, 2016.

     Faulkner, age 27, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to five years Probation, to run concurrent with his Morris County sentence of Drug Court. He must also complete the Straight and Narrow Program, comply with all treatment recommendations required by Morris County Drug Court, including TASC or substance abuse evaluations, submit a DNA sample and pay $1205.00 in court fines and fees.

?     He pled guilty on July 18, 2016, to third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. 

     The defendant admitted that while incarcerated in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility he was in possession of Xanax, which was found during a shakedown of the jail.

     Faulkner was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
