Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Kyle Noorman, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 23, 2016.
Noorman, age 23 of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years of probation. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow recommendations made, continue current treatment, submit a DNA sample at his expense, complete 100 hours of community service work, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.
He pled guilty on April 5, 2016, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime, and Driving While Intoxicated, a motor vehicle offense. On August 4, 2016, he pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
On December 6, 2015, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Wantage. He was driving while intoxicated and was in possession of heroin. On April 25, 2016, he was in possession of heroin in Vernon.
Noorman was represented by Anthony Alfano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
