Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 12, 2016, by Kolby Kapetankis.
Kapetankis, age 34 of Sussex, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime, and Shoplifting, a disorderly persons offense. Sentencing is presently anticipated for October 21, 2016.
On February 20, 2016, New Jersey State Police Troopers were dispatched to the Quick Chek in Wantage in reference to a shoplifting complaint. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to shoplifting and possession of heroin.
The case was investigated by Tpr. II J. R. Smith of the New Jersey State Police.
Kapetankis was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
