Press Release - Plea of John McKevitt

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 6, 2016 by John McKevitt.

    McKevitt, age 27, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to two counts of third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for September 30, 2016.

     The defendant admitted that he was in possession of Heroin and Suboxone while lodged in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility.

     McKevitt was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie LaCarrubba.
