Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Becky Charbonneau, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 12, 2016.
Charbonneau, age 32, of Glenwood, was sentenced to three years Probation on condition that she serve thirty (30) days on the Home Detention Program, comply with DCPP and any treatment recommendations, submit a DNA sample and pay court fines and fees.
She pled guilty on June 27, 2016, to third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
In April, Vernon police were responding to a welfare check on the defendant and she was found to be in possession of Heroin.
Charbonneau was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
