Press Release - Sentencing of James Mitchell

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of James Mitchell, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on July 7, 2016.

     Mitchell, age 42, of Vernon, NJ, was sentenced to 18 months probation with possible early termination after 9 months (contingent on good standing with probation/all fines paid), submission of DNA, continued counseling, fees/fines.

     He pled guilty on May 10, 2016, to one count of Failure to Register (a Third Degree Offense).

     James Mitchell was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L. Nazzaro.
