Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 1, 2016, by Patricia Hatton.
Hatton, age 47 of Port Jervis, pled guilty to Shoplifting, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for September 16, 2016.
On May 6, 2016, New Jersey State Police were dispatched to Montague Shop Rite in reference to a shoplifting complaint. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to concealing multiple household grocery items and leaving the store without paying for the merchandise.
The case was investigated by Trooper L. A. Mscisz of the New Jersey State Police.
Hatton was represented by Janine Cerra, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
