Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Katherine Salerno, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on July 8, 2016.
Salerno, age 32 of Newton, was sentenced to three years of probation. She was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations from same, complete all previously imposed PTI conditions, and pay all fines and fees.
She pled guilty on April 11, 2016, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a fourth degree crime.
On September 26, 2015, she was stopped for a motor vehicle offense and found to be in possession of heroin and Lyrica.
Salerno was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie LaCarrubba.
