Press Release - Sentencing of Timothy Durgin

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Timothy Durgin, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 17, 2016.

     Durgin, age 22, of Newton, New Jersey, was sentenced to 61 Days in Sussex County Correctional Facility with 61 days credit as time served.  Defendant shall pay $100 VCCA, $75 SNSF, $30 LEOTEF.

      He pled guilty on May 10, 2016, to one count of Aggravated Assault on a law enforcement officer (a Fourth Degree Offense); and one count of Disorderly Persons Simple Assault after being terminated from the Pre-Trial Intervention Program (Degree Downgraded from a Third Degree Offense).

     Timothy Durgin was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L. Nazzaro.
