Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Elisha Smolinski, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 27, 2016.
Smolinski age 21, of Wantage, New Jersey, was sentenced to 30 days at Sussex County Correctional Facility which may be served through the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program, with 1 day jail credit. Defendant is sentenced to a two-year term of non-custodial Probation, complying with all recommendations of probation including mental health evaluation and acquire GED within two years as condition (violation of which could result in resentencing up to 5 years in NJ State Prison and up to $15,000.00 in fines). Defendant shall pay $50 VCCA, $75 SNSF, $30 LEOTEF, $5 Probation Fee, $2 Transaction Fee.
He pled guilty on April 13, 2016, to one count of Terroristic Threats (a Third Degree Offense).
