Press Release - Plea of Thomas Ricciardi

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 20, 2016, by Thomas Ricciardi.

     Ricciardi, age 21 of Wantage, pled guilty to Eluding, a third degree crime. 

     On September 9, 2015, Hardyston police officers observed a motorbike travelling southbound on Route 23 with its license plate folded up.  They activated the overhead lights and siren and attempted to stop the vehicle.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to fleeing from the officers.

     The case was investigated by Detective David White of the Hardyston Township Police Department.

     Ricciardi was represented by Blair Zwillman, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
