Press Release - Sentencing of Sean Miller

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Sean P. Miller, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 3, 2016.
Miller, age 40, of Newton, was sentenced to two (2) years Probation on condition that he comply with all recommendations of TASC evaluation, undergo random urine monitoring, he must complete 200 hours of community service, obtain his GED, attend NA twice a week, submit a DNA sample and pay $1337.00 in court fines and fees.
He pled guilty on April 4, 2016 to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Defrauding a Drug Test, both crimes of the third degree.
The defendant defrauded a Probation ordered drug test when he used a device he had strapped to his leg. During this incident he was also found to be in possession of Suboxone by Sheriff’s Officers.
Miller was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Rachelle Jones.
