Press Release - Sentencing of Michael Ruggiero

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Michael Ruggiero, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 27, 2016.
Ruggiero, age 58 of Warwick, New York, was sentenced to 90 days in jail concurrent to a New York sentence. He received credit for 58 days of time served. He was ordered to pay restitution of $600 and fines and fees.
He pled guilty on April 11, 2016, to two counts of Credit Card Theft, fourth degree crimes.
The defendant took credit cards from two individuals in a gym locker room and thereafter made fraudulent purchases with the cards.
Ruggiero was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Seana Pappas.
