Press Release - Plea of Doris Herrmann

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 23, 2016, by Doris Herrmann.
Herrmann, age 36 of Passaic, pled guilty to Conspiracy and to Theft, both third degree crimes. Sentencing is presently anticipated for September 2, 2016.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to conspiring with her co-defendant and agreeing to obtain possession of a check issued to another and to fraudulently convert same to their own use.
The case was investigated by Detective Robert VanderPloeg of the Franklin Borough Police Department.
Herrmann was represented by Janine Cerra, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
