Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of William Devore, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 29, 2016.
Devore, age 27 of Franklin, was sentenced to five (5) years of probation. He may request early termination after three and one-half years. He was ordered to attend three AA meetings per week, to submit to a private substance abuse evaluation at the discretion of probation, and to pay fines and fees totaling of $155.00.
He pled guilty on October 16, 2015, to Forgery, a third degree crime.
On September 24, 2015, he cashed a check knowing that the signature of the account holder on the check was a forgery.
Devore was represented by Joseph J. Bell IV, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
