Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Bradley VanDunk, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 29, 2016.
VanDunk, age 32 of Oak Ridge, was sentenced to two years of probation with credit for 27 days’ time served. He was ordered to make restitution, cooperate in the prosecution of co-defendants, obtain his GED, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, and pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.
He pled guilty on March 9, 2016, to Theft of Lost Property, a third degree crime.
On November 5, 2014, the defendant and several co-defendants came into possession of a safe owned by another and then opened it and shared the money found inside.
VanDunk was represented by Mark Francis, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
