Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Natasha McCoy, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 22, 2016.
McCoy, age 33 of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison. She was ordered to submit a DNA sample at her own expense and must pay fines and penalties of $1,360.00. Her driver’s license was ordered suspended for six months.
She pled guilty on February 29, 2016, to two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, third degree crimes.
Defendant was in possession of heroin in Hamburg on September 9, 2015, and in Franklin on December 21, 2015.
McCoy was represented by William Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
