Press Release - Sentencing of Michael Stafford

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Michael Stafford, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 22, 2016.

     Stafford, age 30 of Newton, was sentenced to two years of probation.  He must submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations, complete intensive outpatient treatment, perform 50 hours of community service work, submit a DNA sample at his own expense and pay fines and fees of $155.00.

     He pled guilty on March 9, 2016, to Criminal Trespass, a fourth degree crime.

     Without having permission to do so, the defendant entered a Newton residence through a window.

     Stafford was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
