Press Release - Plea of James Dunnigan

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 11, 2016 by James Dunnigan.
Dunnigan, age 47, of Newton, pled guilty to Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI, a crime of the fourth degree. He also pled guilty to several motor vehicle violations including Driving While Intoxicated and driving an Uninsured and Unregistered Vehicle. Sentencing is presently scheduled for June 10, 2016.
The defendant admitted he was driving while suspended for a second or subsequent DWI and was also driving while intoxicated when he was pulled over by Hopatcong Police in 2015.
Dunnigan was represented by David Nufrio, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
