Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 5, 2016, by David Herman.
Herman, age 41 of Vernon, pled guilty to Eluding, a third degree crime, and Driving While Suspended, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for June 10, 2016.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving a motorcycle while his driving privileges were suspended for driving while intoxicated and to not pulling over and fleeing from a police officer on the motorcycle after being signaled to stop.
The case was investigated by Sgt. O’Rourke of the Vernon Township Police Department.
Herman was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
