Press Release - Sentencing of Jack Elston

April 1, 2016
     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Jack Elston, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, on April 1, 2016.

     Elston, age 38, of  Newton was sentenced to five years probation, 364 days in the county jail, 115 days jail credit for time served and $155.00 in mandatory court fines. 

     He pled guilty on February 8, 2016 to the third degree crime of failure to register as a sex offender.

     Elston was represented by Erik Hassing, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Jerome P. Neidhardt.
