Press Release - Plea of Vincenza Ferrante

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 21, 2016 by Vincenza Ferrante.
Ferrante, age 33, of Chester, New York, pled guilty to fourth degree Assault by Auto and several motor vehicle summonses including Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal of Alcotest and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Sentencing is presently scheduled for May 13, 2016.
The defendant admitted that in November of 2015 she was driving while under the influence when she ran into a vehicle stopped at a traffic light in Franklin, pushing that vehicle into oncoming traffic causing it to be hit again and then the defendant left the scene of the accident.
Ferrante was represented by David Nufrio, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
