Press Release - Plea of Thomas Roff

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 7, 2016 by Thomas Roff.

     Roff, age 38, of Newton, pled guilty to third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for April 22, 2016.

     Newton Police were investigating an anonymous call regarding someone trying to sell Heroin near a local gas station. When Police arrived at the gas station they found the defendant who admitted to having fifty-one (51) bags of Heroin in his pocket.

     Roff was represented by Steven J. Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
