Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 7, 2016, by Mark Forlenza.
Forlenza, age 45 of Franklin, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin), a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 15, 2016.
On July 18, 2015, a pedestrian found a prescription container bearing Forlenza’s address on the prescription label. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that the bottle and the seven packets of heroin contained therein belonged to him.
The case was investigated by Patrolman William Grissom of the Franklin Borough Police Department.
Forlenza was represented by Santo Bonanno, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
