Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Kevin A. Sickels, who appeared before the Honorable James M. Demarzo, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, on March 3, 2016.
? Sickels, age 26, of Andover was sentenced to ten years state prison with 43 months of parole ineligibility, 66 days jail credit for time served and mandatory court fines.
He pled guilty on January 6, 2016 to the second degree crimes of possession with intent to distribute more than five pounds of marijuana and to possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of hash wax.
He admitted that on May 4, 2015, in Andover Township, to possessing more than five pounds of marijuana and more than one pound of hash wax in his residence that he planned on selling. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force with assistance from Andover Police Department.
Sickels was represented by Robert Dunn, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Jerome P. Neidhardt.
