Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 29, 2016, by Natasha McCoy.
McCoy, age 32 of Hamburg, pled guilty to two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, third degree crimes. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 22, 2016.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to possession a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) on September 9, 2015, in the Borough of Hamburg, and on December 21, 2015, in the Borough of Franklin.
These cases were investigated by Patrolman Moses of the Hamburg Police Department and Detective VanderPloeg of the Franklin Police Department.
McCoy was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr., and Assistant Prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt.
