Notice of Truck Mounted ULV Spraying
The Sussex County Department of Environmental and Public Health Services, Office of Mosquito Control has scheduled a truck mounted ULV application on
Friday September 4, 2015 between the hours of 6PM and 11PM
The Office of Mosquito Control will be using the product: Scourge Insecticide 4% + 12% EPA Reg # 432-716 with an active ingredient of Resmethrin and Piperonyl Butoxide.
The application will be made in Vernon Township in the following areas: Community of Barry Lakes, Community of Highland Lakes.
This is a mist spray using Ultra Low Volume (ULV) from a pickup truck mounted sprayer. Application rate is approximately 1.5 fluid ounces per acre (the equivalent of one shot glass over 43,560 square feet).
The application is to target Adult Mosquitoes to reduce nuisance populations and prevent the spread of West Nile Virus.
