Sussex County Juvenile Detention Officer Christian Peterson
The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Community and Youth Services, would like to welcome Juvenile Detention Officer Christian Peterson as a member of the team to the Detention Alternatives Program. Officer Peterson comes from a military background serving in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. Prior to joining the Sussex County Detention Alternatives Program, Officer Peterson worked for the Sussex County Sheriff's Department as a civilian, providing security for the Sussex County Division of Social Services.
Officer Peterson began his employment with the Sussex County Detention Alternatives Program on March 12, 2014. He has positively integrated himself into Detention Alternatives, effectively communicating with outside agencies, as well as with our participating families. Officer Peterson brings a new approach to problem solving through his experience in the military and years of public service. Although he has only been a part of our team for a short period of time, he has proven himself to be an asset. Officer Peterson continues to excel within the Detention Alternatives Program by seeking out new challenges and illustrating his willingness to learn.
