5th Annual Touch-A-Truck Experience April 22 at Main Library
(Newton, NJ) The Sussex County Main Library in Frankford will host its 5th Annual Touch-A-Truck event on Tuesday, April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. During that time children will be able to get up close and personal with an ambulance, a fire truck, a dump truck, a school bus and a backhoe to name just a few. More than 200 children attended last year for the opportunity to climb in and out of the vehicles while their operators answered questions about how they work and what they do. “This is always a really great day,” stated Youth Services Librarian Diane Sebastian. “The kids are so excited to sit in the driver’s seat of a big rig or explore the back of an ambulance. It’s even fun for the local services and businesses that provide their vehicles each year. I can’t thank them enough but the kids’ excitement is contagious, so I think they get a kick out of it too.”
The 2013 Touch-a-Truck provided a wide range of vehicles for children to explore
Even a school bus is fascinating to a child who’s never been on one
Touch-A-Truck will be held rain or shine in the side lot of the Main Library located at 125 Morris Turnpike in Frankford. Come any time between 11:00 a.m. and Noon, no registration required. Don’t forget a camera!
