Public Hearing Notice
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the County of Sussex, Newton, NJ, on May 25, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Freeholders' Meeting Room, Sussex County Administrative Center, One Spring Street, Newton, NJ which is an accessible facility. The purpose of the Hearing is to consider the continued development and provision of additional or expanded accessible transportation services to senior citizens and persons with disabilities for which State assistance is being sought under the Senior Citizen and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program. Public comment will also be heard on the provision of services for persons with disabilities under the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5311 Program for rural and small urban public transportation, as well as the County's Plan for Section 5311 service under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Testimony will also be heard on a Fare Increase Proposal for the County's public transit service.
The County of Sussex will afford an opportunity for all interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the planning, administration and operation of these programs. Interested parties may submit oral or written evidence and recommendations with respect to said programs on or before May 25, 2004. Written comments should be addressed to the County of Sussex, Transportation Public Hearing, Sussex County Administrative Center, One Spring Street, Newton, NJ 07860. Transportation is available to the Hearing for eligible County residents by calling the Transit Office no later than 12 noon, May 24, 2004 at 973-579-0483.
