"Keeping Your Mind Sharp" FREE Memory Screenings
(Newton, NJ) - The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services and Newton Medical Center will be acknowledging World Alzheimer's Day, Wednesday, September 21, 2011, by offering seniors a one-hour educational program, "Keeping Your Mind Sharp." Also, in conjunction with this program, FREE Memory Screenings will be performed by a qualified healthcare professional.
The event will take place at the Sparta Senior Center, 39 Trapasso Drive, Sparta, NJ. Memory screenings will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. "Keeping Your Mind Sharp" will be presented at 2:30 p.m. for the convenience of those who would like to attend before or after their memory screenings.
The results of the screening do not represent a diagnosis. Individuals who score poorly or those with normal scores, but are still concerned, are advised to follow-up with their physician or another qualified healthcare professional. Results of the Memory Screenings are strictly confidential.
