Sparta Township Freeholder Mudrick was elected to the Board of Chosen Freeholders in November, 2012. Dennis and his wife, Pam, reside in Sparta Township with their three sons. Freeholder Mudrick is employed by the Vernon Township Board of Education. He currently serves as the building principal of Cedar Mountain Primary School. A graduate of Montclair State University, Dennis earned his B.A. in History/Education in 1986 and his M.A. in Education Administration & Supervision in 1994. A professional educator for 27 years, he taught high school social studies at Sparta High School and West Morris Mendham HS for eight and a half years, 1986-1995. He has also served as a school administrator in Belvidere, Kittatinny Regional, and the Parsipanny Troy-Hills districts prior to coming to Vernon in July, 2000.
