Press Release - Plea of John I. Phalon

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 4, 2017 by John I Phalon.
     Phalon, age 33, of Sussex, pled guilty to third degree Uttering a Forged Instrument.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for January 26, 2018.
     The defendant admitted he presented a forged prescription to the Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Hamburg to obtain drugs, knowing the prescription was fake.
     Phalon was represented by Jon C. Dupee Jr., Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
