Press Release - Plea of Justin Pearly

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 23, 2017 by Justin Pearly.
     Pearly, age 35, of New Milford, pled guilty to two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, crimes of the third degree.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for December 1, 2017.
     The defendant admitted to have in possession heroin, when law enforcement located him at the Sunrise House of Lafayette after receiving a call about someone trespassing in July of 2016. The defendant also admitted to possessing heroin when police responded to a well-being check in June of 2016.  
     Pearly was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
