Press Release - Plea of Nachelle Stewart

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on July 31, 2017, by Nachelle Stewart.
     Stewart, age 51 of Newton, pled guilty to Driving While License is Suspended, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for September 22, 2017.
     On May 25, 2016, Stewart was stopped by Byram Police officers for a motor vehicle violation.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while her driver license was suspended for a third offense of Driving While Intoxicated. 
     The case was investigated by Patrolman Marcus Lisa and Detective Robert Tierney of the Byram Police Department.
Stewart was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
