Sussex County Department of Human Services Offers Municipal Education and Marketing Program
Release Date: March 18, 2010
The Sussex County Department of Human Services is offering an education and marketing program to county municipalities to assist residents in locating services.
The Sussex County Department of Human Services has implemented a new Municipal Education and Marketing Program to be offered to Sussex County municipalities. The campaign is designed to provide municipal elected officials, employees and citizens with current information on the type and scope of services available to local residents through the Department of Human Services. Through outreach efforts by Human Services Freeholder Liaison Susan Zellman, this educational program is available to all Sussex County municipalities.
Often County residents who are uncertain where to obtain assistance will initially call their municipalities as a first step in seeking the help they need. The Education and Marketing Program is intended to acquaint municipal stakeholders with the varied and comprehensive services offered through the Sussex County Department of Human Services. The information presented through this venue may prove an excellent resource in directing residents to available services.
Department of Human Services Administrator, Stephen R. Gruchacz, and his Directors met with Hampton Township staff on Wednesday, the 3rd of March and Vernon Township on Thursday, the 25th of March. The Directors representing the Division of Community and Youth Services, Division of the Homestead, Division of Senior Services and the Division of Social Services were there to give an overview of available services and provide handouts to be used as educational and reference guides for anyone in need of locating the type of services offered through the Department of Human Services.
Additional presentations have been scheduled for the Borough of Franklin on Wednesday, the 7th of April. Presentations can be scheduled by contacting the Department of Human Services at 973-579-0559 ext. 1227.
