County of Sussex Website receives recognition

The New Jersey Foundation for Open Government recently used the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs to conduct a survey of the websites of the twenty-one counties throughout New Jersey to rank to what degree their websites support "e-government" openness.

Sussex, Hunterdon and Camden counties were rated in the top three. The rankings were based on criteria in five areas, including the availability of contact information for officials, public meeting information and the information provided of county departments and divisions.

The process of continual information updates and improvements are ongoing through the efforts of an established "website committee". This committee meets twice monthly to plan and review information submitted for the monthly Sussex County government newsletter and other news content submitted regularly as well as any additions and/or improvements to the site.

Congratulations to all the "website committee" members for their continued work on this project and to the County of Sussex administration for their interest in the continued development of our website.
