Beekeepers Must Register by March 1

The Office is required to notify beekeepers when pesticides that are labeled as hazardous to bees are being applied within a 3 mile radius. While this requirement is mandatory, bee yards that are not listed on the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Pesticide Control Program's List of Officially Registered Bee Yards are not included in this notification. It's up to the beekeepers to make sure all bee yards are registered with the state by March 1st on a yearly basis. More information.
