Pop Open a Good Book from Your Local Library

Newton, NJ - There's no better way to pass a cold winter day than curling up with a good book. And with the Pop Open A Good Book winter reading programs at the Sussex County Libraries, reading can be delicious and rewarding too.

All during January preschoolers through teens will be rewarded with stickers, small prizes and popcorn snacks for each week they Pop Open A Good Book. Registration begins December 26 and the incentives will be awarded for each week of reading through January 31. All popcorn prizes must be picked up by February 7.

Adults are invited to pop in on the fun by participating in a raffle with prizes including a new tablet and a $100 Weis gift card. The period of active reading runs January 5 through February 27 and allows adults to enter one raffle ticket for each title read or listened to. Winners will be chosen from among all the entries at the end of the program. A one-time registration will be required and can be accomplished by calling or visiting any branch of the Sussex County Library System beginning December 26.
