Congratulations to Melissa Latronica on Her New Position with the Department of Children and Families
Melissa Latronica, former Division Director for Sussex County Division of Community and Youth Services, began her new position with the Department of Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), on Monday, September 8, 2014.
After being employed with the County of Sussex for over eleven years, Melissa was offered the opportunity to work at the state level. She will be bringing her years of experience in a leadership position with the County of Sussex to the local DCP&P office.
During Melissa's tenure with the County of Sussex, she held the following positions within the Department of Human Services: Youth Services Coordinator, Human Services Advisory Council Coordinator, Youth Shelter Director and Division Director for Community and Youth Services. In April 2013, Melissa was one of 40 individuals in the country who was accepted into the Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare: Multi-System Integration Certificate Program, conducted by the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform (CJJR) at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. This weeklong program of intensive study focused on improving outcomes or preventing youth that crossover from the child welfare system into the juvenile justice system.
