Help is Out There: Suicide Prevention & Mental Health

On Tuesday, August 12, U.S. astronaut and Veteran Buzz Aldrin took to Twitter to say, "The loss of Robin Williams is tragic. Like him, I and many veterans also suffer from depression. All Americans should awaken to this."

Mental health is just as important as physical health. If you, or someone you know is suffering from depression, there is help out there.

If you or somebody else is in emotional distress, or if you're concerned about suicide, you can call: 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). For emergency help, you can always dial 9-1-1.

Depression affects children as well as adults, so know what signs to look for as a parent.
