Montague Special School Election

Montague Township will hold a Special School Election on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Polls will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Voters will determine whether to authorize the Board of Education to construct an addition to and renovate the Elementary School to provide educational spaces to accommodate the district’s seventh- and eighth-grade students; and whether to spend and issue bonds in an amount not exceeding $3,258,452 to finance the cost of such project.

The State has agreed to provide debt service aid for the project in the amount of 40 percent of final eligible costs. The final eligible costs are $1,925,778.

The last day to register for the Montague Special School Election is Sept. 9th. The last day the Sussex County Clerk’s office can receive applications to receive a ballot in the mail is Sept. 23rd.
