Monthly Shredding Services for Sussex County residents and businesses
September 17th, October 15th & November 19th (3rd Friday of every month).
SK Shred, a Branchville based mobile document destruction company provides affordable, safe, and secure shredding of your sensitive documents on the third Friday of every month from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, at the SCMUA. The cost is $6.00 per legal/letter sized box, no limit. At the end of each event all residual shredded paper is processed at the SCMUA for recycling.
The program has created a regular, positive interest for SCMUA customers, including residents, businesses, schools and municipalities. There has been an increased awareness of the importance of properly destroying personal documents, from bank statement to credit card applications. Paper is a popular recycling item and by including shredded paper in Sussex County's recycling strategy, the county is saving landfill space in the process.
Providing a needed service that offers increased security for local residents and businesses in a convenient and central location (all while further promoting recycling) is the goal of both the SCMUA and SK Paper Shred. Making the program economically feasible and environmentally viable are also important factors.
