September is Emergency Preparedness Month
(Newton, N.J.) September has arrived, and now that you are preparing to send your children back to school, remember to prepare yourself in case of an emergency! In celebration of Emergency Preparedness month, you can learn how to become better prepared by attending the emergency preparedness course entitled, "Taking Personal Responsibility for Emergency Preparedness," offered at no charge by the Sussex County Department of Environmental and Public Health Services. The next course is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, 2010 and will be held at Sussex County Public Safety Training Academy from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You will learn how to create your emergency preparedness kit, make a family communications plan, and learn how to become better informed during an emergency or natural disaster.
