Sussex County Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds
Press Release - March 29, 2010
The Sussex County Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds will be open for its 2010 season beginning this Saturday! Our brand new building is located at the entrance to the Sussex County Fairgrounds on Plains Road, Augusta, NJ. The market will be open every Saturday (rain or shine) from 9am to 2pm through October. Plan on supporting our Sussex County farmers by making this your weekly destination for produce (in season), value added products including jams, jellies, salsa, and pickles, honey, eggs, flowers (cut and bedding), dried flower arrangements, potted herbs, meats, eggs, breads and baked goods, alpaca fiber products and more. The opening is right in time for Easter plants (or eggs for painting or lamb for dinner)!
When you stop by, notice the awards that we've recently received. The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce presented the market its' Business Partnership award at the 2010 Quality in Business/Quality in Living dinner on March 18th. Additionally, Pioneer Pole Buildings, Inc. won the National Frame Builders Association "Building of the Year for Agricultural Storage and/or Workshop" award during February 2010 for the Sussex County Farmers Market.
When you're at the market, remember to check the information table for upcoming events being held at both the market and the fairgrounds. And remember - Buy Fresh, Buy Local, Support our Sussex County Farmers.
